![]() Sometimes, however, they will merely be seen observing the player from a distance before disappearing or flying away. Interestingly, once Killer Drones initially see the player, they will be able to follow them perpetually until destroyed, even if the player hides or outruns them. The drones have been reported to spawn all around the State, but most commonly around Downtown Los Santos and the Tongva Triangle. #Gta v drone station modsĪll three drone models (quadrotor, micro-copter, and orb) have been seen flying in the skies of San Andreas as Killer Drones despite the fact only the quadrotor is capable of being controlled without mods by players. The player-controllable quadrotor drone is typically found in Los Santos while the otherwise unusable flying orb is more commonly seen in the Tongva Triangle. They are most likely to appear on uncrowded servers, while their appearance in the offline game tend to be rare and most likely in the Tongva Triangle, especially near Fort Zancudo.Welcome to my topic about the Usage of the Nano Drone in Contact Missions.įirst: What is the Nano Drone? The Nano Drone is a drone that you can active through the interaction menu. Just open your interaction menu -> inventory -> Launch Nano Drone. To be able to do this, you need to own an Arcade, with the Drone Station upgrade in the basement. When you are playing a Contact Mission, it's possible that the interaction menu will tell you that you are not in a safe place to launch it. Simply step away from any walls or your personal vehicle, and it should work. As far as I could tell, you can only have one Nano Drone launch per mission.īelow this section of text, I have listed the missions wherein I've tested useage of the Nano Drone. The reason why is because the results vary greatly.Ĭhopper Tail, Crystal Clear Out, Dish The Dirt, Extradition, Hit 'Em Up, Lost My Mind, Meth'd Up, Quarry Quarry, Romance Isn't Dead, Turbine Carbine, War and Pieces, Water the Vineyard I have split them up into two sections one for missions that take place in the Blaine County, and one for missions taking place in the city. Mission-NPS behaviour after launching the Nano Drone: Complete and utter chaos. ![]() ![]() They freeze up, spazz out, fall through the map, litter the place with cigarettes. Mission where you need to kill all enemies (e.g. Hit 'Em Up and Lost My Mind) are therefore impossible to finish. Once they fall through the map, they will remain underground with no way of getting to them. Player behaviour after launching Nano Drone: Falling through the map can occur. When that does happen, the Nano Drone is also underground, meaning you cannot use it to clear out the enemies. Once you exit the Nano Drone, you will fall down further, until you reappear nearby. Missions that do work somewhat normally: Dish The Dirt, Extradition, Water The Vineyard.ĭish The Dirt seems to have an exception to the earlier rule regarding NPC behaviour. The NPC carrying the product you need to bring back to Gerald is the only one I've come across that will behave as it normally does. If you don't snipe him before you start using your Nano Drone, he will get in a car and drive off. In Extradition I only use the Nano Drones explosive ability to take out the Titan with the target in it.
